One of my little victories is here! First painting from my mini collection called “Best friends” inspired by friendship between my son and our family dog Gerina is displayed in Tearmann Restaurant Kilcullen.
I am very proud that my paintings are part of this exhibition. When I heard that as a member of Cruthu I can be part of an exhibition in restaurant my first thoughts were that I do not want to have my paintings displayed in place full of fries. I researched the place online and look what I found:
“Tearmann (Irish: refuge or sanctuary) is a three-storey building housing a coffeeshop/restaurant, also selling crafts and books, but really it is so much more.
There is a bakery/ kitchen at the back that produces cakes, scones, lunches and other goodies for our coffee-shop using mainly organic and home-grown ingredients. Good simple food! Our scones are famous.”

It is wonderful place, not just a restaurant but the local community meet there for different events.
My paintings will be displayed in Tearmann Restaurant Kilcullen until August. I havent seen the place yet, but I would like to go there for a coffee and a little scones, to see all the beautiful paintings and feel the atmosphere. Anyone with a car would like to take me there and have a chat? Please do message me and let’s meet 🙂 I am looking forward to meet one of you, my readers. Who is it gonna be?

Well done Petra, I used to live in Newbridge not far from Kilcullen. It’s great to get your paintings on display in public and hopefully it will lead to a lot more for you.

Thank you Amanda 🙂 With each exhibition I have more and more motivation to paint. Maybe art will be more than a hobby for me in the future, we will see 🙂
