Day 9 Caroline’s sunrise photo and health challenge: Motivate your friend to join the challenge

Motivate your friend to join Caroline’s sunrise photo and health challenge, bring some happiness and fun to someones life. When I created this challenge I was thinking about people who suffer with depression. If you have a friend who has been sad for long time and suffer depression, you may know how hard it is to help him/her. Improving mental health is important part of the challenge for me and you can add little tasks and goals to your list to bring more happiness to your day. You may help your friend to experience few positive moments in his life, try to get him/her involved in the challenge.

Photos of the day 9 of Caroline’s sunrise photo and health challenge were taken at 8:13 am on  Saturday 23.7.2016 in Lipova – lazne (Czech republic)

My brother’s dog Jack watching the morning sun and saying:“Are you serious? Do I really have to go with you and walk up to the hill so you can take a picture of sunrise?”

Exercise of the day:

I have already involved some of my friends in the challenge and this time I brought my kids with me. Dogs are very good at motivating the humans to do some exercise, but I think Jack was happy that we left him home. Me and my kids were walking four hours in the forest. We went to up to the nearest hill, where I used to go as child very often with my dog. I was happy to show my kids my favorite spot in the forest with beautiful view. I have been dreaming for long time about going to this hill early morning to take a sunrise photo. I tried to go there few days ago, but I only managed to walk half way. When I walked all the way to the top with my kids, it was big achievement for me. I can feel the improvement in my health due to exercising everyday. There are three mornings left before I will travel back to Ireland, so let’s hope that the weather will be good enough for me to try again and take picture of sunrise from the top of my favorite hill.

Hi Caroline! I enjoyed reading your post. I came across it from the 30-day blogging challenge FB page. Anyway, I too suffer from depression. I am new to blogging but have experienced depression my entire life. I have written quite a bit about my experiences. Thank you for being willing to share your personal experiences. I truly believe we all benefit from each other’s experiences.

    • Hello, I am happy to meet you here online. I will have a look at your blog and read all about your experience. I will be adding some links to articles from people like us who knows a bit about depression so I will choose some post from your blog. You can also pick one of your posts and leave link in comments here so we dont miss the best article from your blog. I know from my experience that my friends wanted to help me but they usually made it worse. But when my friend took me out of my house, asking me to help her with something little, it always worked. So I can imagine that when we motivate a friend to join us for walk to take sunrise photo it may actually help him/her to experience something positive.(Especially when you say that you need help because you dont want to walk alone so early in the morning )

  2. Jack is so cute with the sunlight on him. The exercise you did was really an achievement. And with the kids, I could imagine it to be so full of fun. I suffered from depression too. My healing was slow. But I did it for maybe 15 years now. Faith, courage and the desire to heal were what pushed me to become healed. Depression is curable. Take that from me. Anyways, my day 9 is here:

    • wow, you are amazing! Its very difficult to recover from depression. I believe its possible to cure yourself. When you come to the point that you want to recover, when you want to fight depression, there is always hope that you will have happy life again. It was the same with me, the desire to heal is what pushed me and what helped me to find happiness again. It has been six years since I had the car accident which caused my depression and I am still fighting to recover physically and mentaly.. I am going to have a look at your article about your day 9 of the challenge now. I am so happy that you keep going 🙂

      • Yes, the journey through depression is so difficult. I was even advised to seek professional help. I did not. I was a little bit stubborn. I found my way out the hard way. But I considered it as a blessing in disguise. From there I arrived here. I now love life so much. ^_^

This post struck a chord with me Petra. You’re so right about mental health. We cannot really have a good physical health without sound mental health. I have been suffering from anxiety for as long as I can remember, I had written about it sometime back. Here is a link to it – http://personalogues.com/dealing-with-anxiety/
