Little taste from my morning sunrise photoshoot in Dublin city centre:
This photo was taken with my phone and I also cropped it, so the quality is not the best, but I could not resist to post at least something small for you. Finally, last two days there was beautiful morning and I managed to get up early to take sunrise pictures for Caroline’s sunrise photo and health challenge. I will write all about it soon. I took so many pictures so there are too many photos to choose from, it will be hard to decide which are the best, so editing will take me some time. I can’t stop looking at this first photo. I love the colors! What do you think?
Have a wonderful weekend!
Let me know what you think in comments.
Caroline
P.S.: I decided to add one photo every day into this blog post until I publish the whole article about this morning photoshoot in Dublin city, so you get little taste again and again. It will spice up the waiting for you and anytime you come back here you will find something new.
Today I am adding the original shot, the image that was the photo above cropped from.
What do you think? Which photo is better? Original shot od the cropped image?
Have a wonderful day.
Caroline
P.S.Adding photo which was taken with my phone the same day at 7:44am (its also cropped):
P.S.: Something dramatic was happening on the sky in docks when the ferry was arriving:
P.S.: Photo of boat below was taking at the same days as article in the link below. To see more photos and to read about that day photoshoot click here
P.S. One of the articles that were in queue is now published, so the promised pictures and article from docklands is coming up on my blog soon. To see more boats like the photo below and amazing sunrise click here.
Although cropped, I like this photos a lot. Love the cloud cover, and love the subtle streaks of orange coming through. What a tease of a lovely sunrise and the sun itself 😀 I always struggle to wake up early to see the sunrise. I am so not a morning person!

Thank you 🙂 I wasn’t morning person either. I was night owl, nearly like a vampire, studying at night and sleeping few hours during the day. It was very hard to change my sleeping habits but with Caroline’s sunrise photo and health challenge I became an early bird and I love waking up early now. Waking up early its very healthy habit with many benefits. Try it, you will see how amazing it is. I have just read that it takes at least 7 days of waking up early until you stop being tired and start feel the new power in your bones and feel the refreshment of early mornings.

Mabel Kwong, I’m not a morning person either. You are not alone. I have, however, captured some awesome sunsets. That is my preference! 😉

It’s a pretty damn good picture for the fact that it has been shot from smartphone!

Thank you 🙂 Yeah, I am so surprised. Moreover, its cropped, so its just small part of the photo that the smart phone took. I have just added the original shot into the article, so you can have a look. 🙂

Sure! Even though it’s shot with smartphone… But who’ll believe?

This is a beautiful shot. You not only captured what it looked like, but it seems that you captured what it felt like. Great work.

Thank you 🙂 Yeah there was so much emotions on the sky, changing every few minutes from peaceful to dramatic, nostalgic and more. It felt so good to watch the magic. I will write an article about the morning photoshoot soon with many photos. Come back again to have a look. 🙂

Thank you 🙂 Well, I had to walk there nearly one hour, so it was a good reward for the effort of waking up so early.

I like the cropped photo better. I think the buildings and stuff on the left hand side of the picture are distracting and not necessary. When I saw the original photo, I just thought it was a good scenery. When I saw your cropped photo, I was completely drawn into the picture. I love the reflection off the water, the super clear lines of the boats, and all of the color. The cropped photo, to me, looks like a scene on a postcard someone would purchase to remember their trip!

Thank you for your kind words. I am so happy that you like it. I have been thinking for a while that I would like to create postcards and wish cards with some citation or quotes on it, but I cannot find suitable and cheap printing company. When I have enough materials I will definitely print something. I have tested some companies and used the prints as reward for the winners of riddles and competitions on my blog, so some of my readers received samples of my artwork. I will remember to add this photo to the file for the next test printing. I love the cropped version too. 🙂

You have beautiful photos! I love all of them. The cropped one looks perfect; while the original photo looks intriguing and dramatic because of the contradictions of the light. You have such a tranquil looking sunrise.

Thank you 🙂 The sunrise that day was epic for me. I am going to be adding more photos of boats to this article when I get some new nice shots. (There are few new images already.) Maybe people will notice and come back again and have a look what is new in the article. Its gonna be little collection of boats.
