Photo with short story #day 9 – Street photo little bit like abstract art. Solve the riddle and get a gift.

When it is raining nobody wants to go outside. Just recently I discovered that rain can make things very beautiful or look very different. The best moment is when the rain stop, sun comes back and drops of water are still on flowers, on different things and in this case on a glass wall. I was lucky to be there at the exact time of the day. It was evening, sunset and the lights in the building were already turned on.

This photo is like a piece of abstract art for me. If you have a look at the photo from distance, you may recognize few things on the photo. I am not going to tell you where is it, but I will give you little clues. If you recognize the building and tell me the name in comment, you will get a little gift from me. To be exact: The first person who write comment with the name of the building will get a gift. I am going to have my first giveaway on my blog soon. Three people will get a gift from my first giveaway. One of them can be you, if you recognize the building and let me know in comment. How the other two people can get the gifts? What is the gift? Keep an eye on my blog posts. I will let you know soon. Wow. That is a lot of teasing, isn’t? Maybe you are just a little bit curios, aren’t you? I will give you little clue. You can find out where is the building based, in which country and in which city by clicking on the link below (the answer is not in the article below):

Photo with short story #day 1 My trip to Paris

I do not mention or put picture of the building in the article above. I only took the photo for riddle at the same day as pictures in the article above. I have few images of the building, ready to be published for you soon. Until then you have the opportunity to be first and tell us what is on the photo in today post. Have a fun .

You can ask friends, share the article, google it, anything is allowed for you to solve the riddle. Find more clues on my Twitter. You can also read what others commented to get ideas what is it NOT. 🙂 You can also write more answers as far as it is one name of building in one comment.

Thank you for reading my blog. Let me know what do you think in comment.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

Caroline

Is it the Eiffel Tower .

  2. Thank you. 🙂 Two people wrote an answer so far. It is not Eiffel Tower neither Arc de Triomphe. But you are close, the building is in Paris and it is quite famous. The picture is taken through glass wall. The wall is very long, leading to the building which is on the left side of the picture. Find more clues on my Twitter and my social media. You can write another comment with another guess as far as it is one name of building in one comment. Have a fun 🙂

What an entertaining piece. I also love the different take on pictures through the rain. It is beautiful and unique.

My guess is Champs de Mars?

    • Thank you Rose for the comment and for the tip 🙂 You are brave to guess and everyone who try has my admiration and gratitude 🙂 I am starting to know more places in Paris thanks to your guesses, because I google each one of them.. Champs de Mars is amazing place near the Eiffel Tower. I was even there and until now I didn’t know the name. Unfortunately on the photo is something else, building, made with lots of glass and it has also has unusual shape. 🙂

  6. I cannot begin to guess, but I love your point of view. One of my favorite things about the rain is the change in perspective it provides.

    • Thank you 🙂 Yeah and it is amazing how much light water drops actually reflect and bring into the image. I took picture of a rose inside my house with no good light settings and when I spread water all over the flower, the picture brightened up a lot. Have you seen the photo and article called Sunshine in drop of water? Its one of my favorite images 🙂

    • Thank you for your comment 🙂 I have just checked Palais de Tokyo on Google and it is amazing building and very interesting for me to visit, because I love art. It is very close guess I have to say. There is water near the building as well as it is on my photo. Thank you 🙂 Try another one 🙂

The rain makes the picture abstract for me too. Lovely, I must confess, but I don’t see a building at all. Maybe it’s because I only one have eye? Not sure… but good luck to the winner!

    • Thank you Bonnie 🙂 It was impossible to guess the building only from the picture. I left many clues on all my social media. Me and my readers had fun with chasing the clues. There will be another riddle next week, in case you like to try and maybe get some gift 🙂

  13. That was fun! I love your photo and yes, I guessed it was the Louis Vuitton Foundation art museum and cultural center. There aren’t too many rather weirdly shaped buildings like that with a low concrete wall at the side which I could JUST make out. Glad you have a winner. That was a good workout for the brain, and well done on a super photo!

    • When the weather is too warm and then you get nice refreshing rain..I remember that as kids we used to dance in the rain and absolutely love it.:-) But here in Ireland is raining almost everyday, with a lot of wind so people are excited when there is a little bit of sun. Thank you for your comment. I am happy that someone like the rain too. Nice to meet you here online 🙂

  15. Hello Petra,
I absolutely love looking at rain drops falling on windows and the sometime abstract images that are created of the outside. Unlike most people, I love the rain especially out in the woods. As far as the riddle, I have to admit that I have no clue what that building is 🙂
