Keep the wheel spinning – five quotes that helps you keep going

Do you feel like the world is falling apart? Things doesn’t go the way as planned?  I have five good quotes for you today that will help you keep going, something that will help you to continue the hard work you are doing and never give up on your dreams.

It has been six years since I had a car accident and all my world felt apart. I have recovered a lot, but sometimes I still find hard to be as strong, powerful and determined as I was before the accident happened. It is like I had stopped riding the bicycle of life and I am trying to get back on the bike again in the middle of a hill. One of the things that keeps me going is writing a quote on big paper, putting it on a wall in my sitting room and reading it again and again. Last few week I have this sentence in my head (and on my wall): “Keep the wheel spinning.” and I just keep going somehow. Try it, I hope it will help.

Five good quotes that I picked for you:

1.”Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking our potential.”
(W.Churchill)
2. “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” (Winston Churchill)
3. “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” (Albert Einstein)
4. “In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can.” (Nikos Kazantzakis)
5. “Keep the wheel spinning” (Lets find out who said that…)

My today photos and article is inspired by the WordPress weekly photo challenge. The theme is: “… curves around you. From curves in architecture to bends in nature to man-made undulations, you have lots to work with!” ( https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/curve/ )

I took these pictures below during a guided tour at Arigna Mining Experience. I saw what coal mining life was like in the Arigna Valley, since its beginning in the 1700’s until closure in 1990. A retired worker who actually work in the mines long time ago explained to us how hadr it was to work there in a wet and cold environment.

When you look at the last photo, you will see the narrow space where a worker was lying on the wet floor and digging coal. These pictures remind me how hard was to make a living and how lucky we are today to work in dry and warm places. Being thanskfull and reminding yourself the good things that you already have also help you to “Keep the wheel spinning.”

I hope you found something useful, inspiring or motivational in my today’s post.

I would like express how thankful I am to some of my readers and bloggers for support that they provided me last few days with lovely, cheerful comments and sharing my articles. So I am adding link to their blogs post to say a little “Thank you.” I chose some interesting articles so click and have a look.

Wonderful post as always Petra and thanks so much for the link. I love your photos they really capture the essence of the mining experience. I love the quotes too and am a big fan of quotes and affirmations especially when I’m feeling unmotivated.
